Hardware & Software Repairs
Assessment charge - from £35.00
In order to accurately diagnose and isolate the issue with your system, we must first perform a suite of diagnostic tests. The purpose of these tests is to ensure that the issue can be identified and be fully resolved. We can also provide you with a hardware report following this process. Due to the vast variety of makes and models of PC’s, the diagnosis time may vary. As such, our assessment charge can range between £35.00 and £60.00 depending on the fault being investigated. We can provide you with a more accurate figure at the time of booking.
If, following diagnosis, a hardware fault is discovered and a part needs to be replaced, our diagnosis charge will be reduced by 75% should we be asked to carry out the required work. Our typical labour charge on hardware repairs will generally fit into one of three tiers. These tiers also apply to hardware upgrades:
- Tier 1 - £17.95
This tier covers the majority of small/minor work such as the installation of RAM (memory), WiFi cards, hard drives and batteries - Tier 2 - £64.95
This tier covers most work that involves stripping the product down to perform the repair, this typically includes screen replacements together with track pad repairs. - Tier 3 - £99.95
This tier is for all major work such as motherboard replacements.
These tiers are just a guideline and certain products tier classification may differ from the above. We will always advise what tier a repair will be classified as when providing an estimate for the repair/upgrade.
The price quoted to you will be based upon an estimated work time so will be specific to each make and model of machine, as well as the issue that is with it. Workshop labour is charged in increments of ten minutes.

- Driver sterilisation to remove viruses - £29.95 per drive
- General speed boosting and optimisation - from £34.95
- Cloning data from one hard drive to another - £29.95
Technical support, Installation & Training
Our onsite rate for these services starts from just £45.00 per hour, with no callout charges for the Brighton & Hove area. Our minimum appointment time is one hour.
Other Services
Collection / delivery charge - from £8.00
To help reduce the stress of having an issue with a product, we offer a door-to-door collect and/or return service to all our customers. Prices for this service in the Brighton and Hove area are £8.00 for collection/return. Collection and return would be £15.00. If you are outside this area, a small supplement charge may apply.
